To encourage people to return to Latvia, Līvāni Municipality, in cooperation with the Latgale Planning Region and with the support of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development, is organising the competition “Remigration Support Measure – Business Support”.
The aim of the competition is to provide financial support to companies established by remigrants that, within the framework of a business project, ensure the development of new products and/or services at regional level, as well as to companies that create new jobs for remigrants.
The amount of support granted by the municipality to the competition winner shall not exceed EUR 5,559.02, consisting of state support and municipal support. The participant’s private co-financing must be at least equal to the total amount of state and municipal funding, but not less than 50% of the total eligible costs.
Project applications for support may be submitted until 21 August 2026. Applicants may submit project documents in one of the following ways:
in person, from Monday to Thursday from 8:00 to 17:00, and on Friday from 8:00 to 15:00, at the Līvāni Municipality Customer Service Centre, Rīgas iela 77, Līvāni, Līvāni Municipality;
electronically by sending them to the email address pasts@livani.lv and signing them with a secure electronic signature;
by post to Līvāni Municipality, Rīgas iela 77, Līvāni, Līvāni Municipality, LV-5316. If sent by post, the postal stamp must be dated no later than the final day of the competition deadline.
The competition commission will evaluate project applications within three weeks after the project document submission deadline and will make a decision on the supported projects and the amount of co-financing granted. The results will be published on the municipality’s website: www.livani.lv.
