On Wednesday, 3 June, the submission of applications opened for the remigration promotion competition of the Daugavpils State City Municipality grant programme “Impulss”. The aim of the programme is to strengthen entrepreneurship and economic activity within the municipality by promoting the development of innovation, employment growth, the creation of new businesses, the growth of existing enterprises, and support for the remigration process.
The following applicants may apply for participation in the “Impulss” grant programme for the promotion of remigration:
a remigrant who undertakes to start and carry out commercial activity in Daugavpils;
a merchant founded by a remigrant and registered in the Enterprise Register, who undertakes to carry out commercial activity in Daugavpils;
a merchant registered in the Commercial Register who creates new jobs employing remigrants.
Grant funding may cover up to 75% of the eligible project costs, while at least 25% must be provided by the project implementer.
For one grant recipient implementing remigration support measures, the minimum grant amount for eligible costs specified in the competition application is EUR 8,000, while the maximum permitted grant amount is up to EUR 16,000.
The total funding allocated for the competition is EUR 36,000, of which EUR 18,000 is provided by Daugavpils State City Municipality, while another EUR 18,000 has been allocated within the framework of the Latgale Planning Region competition “Remigration Support Measure – Business Support”.
Applications for participation in the “Impulss” grant programme for the promotion of remigration may be submitted until 15.00 on 3 August, either in person at the Development Department of Daugavpils State City Municipality, 13 Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street, Daugavpils, Room 204, or by sending an application signed with a secure electronic signature to attistiba@daugavpils.lv. The results are planned to be announced by 4 September.
