In 2025, SIA “DDS Group” received funding through the “Impulss” grant competition organized by the Daugavpils City Municipality, aimed at supporting return migration and business development.
The funding enabled the company to purchase modern equipment for installing sandwich panels and to create one new job for a returning migrant. This is a practical example of how targeted support can help businesses grow and modernize while also creating opportunities for people to return to the labour market right here in Latgale.

“We participated in the grant programme and, in order to gain more points, we were looking to hire a returning migrant. Based on our experience, returning migrants are people who know how to work and want to work. We are still looking for employees, so before you leave for another country, think about it — maybe try working with us first. You might realize that you don’t actually want to leave, and that you would rather stay right here — in Latvia, in Latgale!”
