Remigration is not only relocation — it is an experience that people bring with them and use when building their lives in Latvia. On Saturday, 9 May 2026, in the spirit of Mother’s Day, we invite you to the third remigrant networking event “Visiting Newcomers”.
This time, the meeting will take place at the “Mini Zoo” of the farm “Priedītes” in Katvari Parish, Limbaži Municipality. We will visit the farm’s owner, Zane Magone, who will introduce participants to the farm and share her experience of life in the United Kingdom and returning to Latvia.
The event is intended for families with children and will take place in an informal and relaxed atmosphere in exchange for a symbolic donation.
During the day, participants will have the opportunity to:
meet and feed the farm animals — rabbits, sheep, goats, cows, and Irish Cob horses;
take a short walk to Katvari Manor — 3 km one way;
take part in activities for the whole family;
spend time together at a picnic by the campfire at the end of the day. Participants are invited to bring their own picnic baskets.
The farm “Priedītes” is a family-friendly farm where animals can be seen up close. During the season, it is home to around 100 rabbits that move freely around the enclosure and are used to visitors. Visitors can also meet goats and sheep, as well as kids and lambs. The pride of the farm is its Irish Cob horses — calm, balanced, and suitable for children; horse rides are possible by prior arrangement. From Priedītes Hill, there is a view over the entire farm area.
