On 30 September, from 10.00 to 12.00, the Society Integration Foundation (SIF) invites employers, employees and anyone interested in the topic to join the online webinar “Back Home: Returnees’ Experiences in Latvian Organisations”.
How can the knowledge and experience gained abroad by returnees benefit the Latvian labour market? The webinar will feature several personal stories about returning to Latvia and entering the Latvian labour market, as well as information about the support available to returnees from the state. It will also explore how employers can attract and support returnees, helping to build stronger and more diverse teams. Participants will discuss the conditions and measures needed to create an open and supportive working environment for people who have returned or are considering returning to Latvia.
The webinar moderator, Baiba Žiga, certified executive coach and founder and CEO of Impulsum, will share her own experience of why, after several years of studying and working abroad, she decided to return to Latvia and use her experience to strengthen Latvian organisations.
Inga Madžule, Remigration Coordinator for the Vidzeme Region, will provide an overview of who is returning to Latvia and why, as well as the support needed by both returnees and employers.
To discuss current issues related to the topic, Dace Dombrovska, Headteacher of Ogre Centre Primary School, and a representative of an employer will also share their experiences during the webinar.
Registration for the webinar is open until 12.00 on 29 September by completing the registration form.
Recordings of previous SIF webinars on diversity management and inclusive working environments are available in the “Resource Catalogue” section of the Dazadiba.lv platform.
